Mercedes is set to unveil the AMG GT tomorrow but a new report is indicating the car will be available exclusively as a hatchback.
While Car & Driver is reporting an AMG GT Roadster is "virtually complete," they don't expect the model will be green-lighted. Nothing is official but the magazine believes the roadster would steal sales from the SL. The S-Class Convertible is also expected to steal sales from the SL, so it appears Mercedes could veto an AMG GT Roadster to give the SL some breathing room.
That would be disappointing news but, on the bright side, there are rumors of about a new GT3 variant.
