Two renders of the 2015 Mazda MX-5 have popped up on Miata.net.
While we normally wouldn't give much credence to renderings posted on a forum, these were reportedly made by Mazda product engineer Seth Elson. This suggests they could be created with some inside knowledge but we won't know for sure until the production model is unveiled tomorrow.
Regardless, the renderings shows a compact roadster with a distinctive front fascia which will likely provoke love or hate it reactions. The sides are less controversial and the rear end seems pretty faithful to the full-body prototype which was spied last month.
As we have previously reported, the 2015 Mazda MX-5 will be ride on a SKYACTIV-CHASSIS and weigh 220+ lbs (100+ kg) less than its predecessor. The model will also have a lower center of gravity as well as a front mid-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive.
