A sneak peek prior to the Moscow Motor Show
The first images with the new Lada Vesta sedan and the XRAY 2 concept have surfaced on the web, just a few hours before the models get unveiled at the Moscow Motor Show.
Starting with the compact crossover, the vehicle is the second generation XRAY concept and is reportedly based on the Dacia Sandero. It will likely reach customers at the beginning of 2016 and will be offered for around 12,000 EUR (15,800 USD). The standard modification will be a front-wheel drive hatchback, while a Dacia Duster-based four-wheel drive model will be available later.
The Vesta sedan is based on the Lada B architecture and will act as a replacement for the Priora. It is 4.35m long and has a 2.65-meter wheelbase. Some of the key components will be borrowed from the Renault Megane and the starting price is expected to be around 8,000 EUR (10,500 USD). Recently Bo Anderson, CEO of AvtoVAZ, commented the Vesta will be powered entirely by Euro 6-compliant engines.
