Speculation can now commence over the model set to succeed the DB9 which is due to hit the dealerships in 2016. According to Aston Martin's design director Marek Reichman, the successor will definitely be a “DB”, but the number that follows is yet to be determined.

The favorite will naturally be the DB10, but some executives would like to retain the DB9. Whatever it is called, we expect it to feature a twin-turbo AMG V8 engine and a brand new design with a debut expected towards the end of next year or early in 2016.
