If you had any doubts the Opel Cascada was coming to the United States as a Buick, you can probably put them to rest as GM Inside News is reporting the model was shown to dealers last week.

Little is known about the meeting but officials reportedly described the car as a future product. They also suggested it will be virtually identical to the European variant except for the obligatory badge changes.

There's no word on what will power the US-spec model but the turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine - that produces 197 bhp (147 kW) and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) - in one possible candidate. However, other reports have said the car will use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 250 bhp (186 kW).
