A new report indicates the all-new Agila will be sold in UK with the "Viva" moniker.
Scheduled to go on sale in Europe next year, Opel's entry-level model will adopt the "Agila" moniker in Europe, with the exception of UK where according to a source cited by Top Gear, Vauxhall has decided to bring back the "Viva" nameplate. The car will ride on the same platform as the all-new Chevrolet Spark, a model which won't be available on the old continent as General Motors will axe Chevrolet from Europe by the end of 2015.
The Agila/Viva will represent an entry-level model with a five-door hatch configuration with regular rear door handles whereas the Chevrolet Spark will come with the handles installed near the C-pillar. Under the hood we should see at least an Opel Adam-sourced all-aluminum, 3-cylinder 1.0-liter ECOTEC Direct Injection Turbo gasoline engine with 90/115 PS & 166 Nm.
An official reveal could occur in March 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show.
