A male elephant in musth got up close and personal with a Volkswagen Polo in South Africa.

The Polo is an adorable hatchback that apparently even elephants like as a male (aka bull) specimen during musth period (when testosterone levels can increase by 60x) decided to have a personal encounter with the supermini in the Pilanesburg National Park in South Africa.

Although during musth period male elephants become very aggressive, it didn't happen this time so the driver and front passenger blocked inside the Polo managed to survive without any injuries while the elephant was scratching itself using the hatchback as a tool to relive the itch. The Polo wasn't that lucky because the roof was dented, all windows were smashed and the tires were blown as well.
