BMW unveiled the current 6-Series Coupe back in March 2011 so naturally a mid-cycle makeover is in the works to keep the model fresh until an all-new gen set for a 2016/2017 release. The 6-Series GranCoupe debuted in December 2011 and will receive similar styling tweaks and both of them will likely be out in the first half of 2015.

The prototypes seen here were grabbed on camera in southern Germany carrying a light amount of camouflage which indicates the changes will be moderate at best. Expect to find a slightly tweaked front bumper together with modified headlights as well as more extensively revised LED taillights. There should also be some minor updates inside the cabin where customers will get to choose from new upholsteries and colors while the engine lineup will likely be carried over untouched.

A possible debut could occur in March 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show, with sales to begin shortly thereafter. The 6-Series Convertible will also benefit from the same array of updates.
