Daimler design boss Gorden Wagner has revealed some new details about the AMG GT and a possible BMW i3 competitor.
Speaking to Auto Motor und Sport, Wagner confirmed the AMG GT S will soon be followed by a less powerful variant. He declined to go into specifics but previous reports have indicated the entry-level model will have a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine that has been detuned to 462 PS (340 kW). There could be also be a convertible and a Black Series variant.
At the other end of the spectrum, Wagner said designers are working on a purpose-built electric vehicle concept. Rumored to be a BMW i3 competitor, the concept could be introduced sometime next year.
