The teaser clip BMW released a few days ago was just a short sequence from an i3 promotional video.

Prepare to be disappointed as the teaser video we shared at the beginning of the month was merely a sequence from BMW's latest promo clip for the i3. Some people suggested that it's a more powerful version of the i3 but in the end it's the same plug-in hybrid/electric city car offering an electric range of up to 99 miles (160 km) while the range-extending variant can do as much as 180 miles (300 km).

Although the car's design is a bit controversial, we have to admit BMW was courageous enough to carry over most of the concept's styling onto the production version, something that you just don't see these days. However, latest hybrid technology and concept-like looks come at a steep price as the i3 begins in Germany from 34,950 EUR (39,450 EUR for the range-extending variant), a lot of money for such a small car. In the United States, the base model can be had from 41,350 USD (45,200 USD), without taking into consideration the additional 925 USD handling & destination fees.
