Mercedes has announced a series of changes to the E-Class in the United Kingdom.
First and foremost, the E 350 BlueTEC now produces 258 bhp (192 kW) which is an increase of 6 bhp (4 kW). The engine is also connected to a new 9G-Tronic gearbox which helps to reduce its CO2 emissions by up to 17 g/km.
Likewise, the E 220 BlueTEC gains an additional 7 bhp (5 kW) to bring its total output to 177 bhp (132 kW). It is still connected to a 7G-Tronic transmission but CO2 emissions have been reduced by up to 16 g/km.
Additional changes are limited but the E 400 AMG Sport will be renamed the E 400 AMG Line and Collision Prevention Assist Plus will become standard equipment on all E-Class models.
