German-based Fostla has released an aftermarket program for the BMW X5 M (E70).
Work started on the outside where the high-performance Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) received an anodized matte red body wrap combined with blackened headlights and taillights as well as tinted glass. In addition, Fostla has also applied a glossy black finish on all chrome parts and installed BMW original 21-inch alloy wheels with low-profile tires.
A more significant change occurred under the hood where the twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter engine received a stage two power kit developed by PP-Performance along with an Akrapovic exhaust system. Thanks to these upgrades, output of the motor was bumped from the serial 555 PS (408 kW) and 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) to 650 PS (478 kW) and a torquetastic 900 Nm (664 lb-ft).
Performance figures have not been published but this tuned X5 M should be a tad quicker than the regular variant which needs 4.7 seconds until 62 mph (100 km/h) before hitting an electronically-capped 155 mph (250 km/h).
All these upgrades will set you back 8,000 EUR.
