An undisguised prototype of the Buick Envision has been caught on camera at a gas station somewhere in China.

It was only yesterday when we provided several official images of the Envision and now the model has returned in real life pics taken in the evening at a gas station in China. The stylish crossover will sit above the Encore but below the Enclave and will ride on General Motors' global Delta II platform while its design clearly mimics its cousins.

The vehicle will be 4667mm long, 1839mm wide and 1696mm tall, carrying a 2750mm wheelbase. A 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine will be the sole motorization choice with 256 bhp (191 kW) and 353 Nm (260 lb-ft) of torque sent to both axles through a six-speed automatic transmission.

The model was revealed at a special private event in China more than a week ago but will get its proper public unveiling in September during the Chengdu Auto Show. In charge of production will be the Shanghai-GM joint venture that will build the model exclusively for the local market and will go on sale in the final quarter of 2014. However, we won't be too surprised if the Buick Envision will hit the U.S. market in the second half of next year as a 2016MY.
