Rubens Barrichello’s Formula 1 race car from 2001 has been put up for sale.

Priced at $3,400,000 (2.53M EUR), the Ferrari F2001 is available on the duPont Registry. This is Ferrari’s 47th racing car and is designed by Rory Byrne specifically for the Formula 1 World Championship. Built in Maranello, it is powered by a 3.0-liter V10 engine mated to a seven-speed semi-automatic sequential transmission. The maximum output is around 835 PS (614 kW), while the estimated engine life is 1,400 km (870 miles).

The F2001 car won 10 out of 17 races in the year it was used. This particular example has competed in the 2001 Monaco Grand Prix, where Barrichello finished second behind Michael Schumacher, who came first.

At the end of the season, Schumacher was a dominant champion with 123 points, while David Coulthard finished second with 65. Barrichello was third with 56 points.
