SEAT is the mend and some senior officials are apparently pushing for a roadster.
In an interview with Top Gear, Bentley Chief Designer Luc Donckerwolke said "We all believe this car [a two-seat roadster] will bring the image that SEAT needs, and it would be a fitting car [for the brand]." Donckerwolke acknowledged the company would have to build a business case for the model but said the company's designers are "all thinking about it."
Walter de Silva also expressed his support for a roadster as he told the publication "The question about a SEAT Spider in our Group is always open." He went on to say the model wouldn't face too much competition as the only competitor would be the Mazda MX-5.
