Following last week's preview, Ford has taken the wraps off the 2015 F-35 Lightning II Edition Mustang GT.

Based on the range-topping Mustang GT, the vehicle wears a Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II livery and has received a wider front splitter made from carbon fiber, rocker moldings together with a rear diffuser and matte titanium body paint matched with yellow & blue accents.

Other noticeable features include a yellow finish for the brake calipers, windows tint and mirror covers while on the inside the yellow theme continues on the Recaro bucket seats. The cabin boasts a modified instrument cluster as well as performance gauges and F-35 Lightning II elements embroidered in the floor mats and seats.

The aviation-themed Mustang GT will remain a one-off as the car will be auctioned at the Gathering of Eagles charity event at EAA AirVenture. The money obtained will be donated to the EAA Young Eagles program which has been organizing free flights for almost two million people since 1992.
