Rumors about an entry-level Bentley coupe have been circulating for years and CEO Wolfgang Durheimer has now confirmed it is a possibility.

In an interview with Top Gear, Durheimer said the brand will introduce a fifth model line to be sold alongside the Continental GT, Flying Spur, Mulsanne and crossover. The mysterious vehicle will be introduced after the crossover and Durheimer revealed it will be either an entry-level sports car or a model that will slot between the Continental GT and Mulsanne.

Little is known about the latter model but the entry-level coupe would be a lightweight two-seater that could use a twin-turbo V8 and possibility even a hybridized V6. There's also rumors of a rear-wheel drive variant as Durheimer said "I very well can see some niche products, very sporty ones, that could come with rear-wheel drive only.”
