Buick has taken the wraps off the Envision crossover which will likely be offered only in China.
Back in April 2011 at the Shanghai Auto Show we saw Buick's Envision concept and now the production version has been revealed in China where it's scheduled to go on sale before the end of the year. Slotting between the Encore and Enclave, Buick's Envision mid-size crossover adopts a familiar design language and has the following physical dimensions: 4667mm length, 1804mm width and 1659mm height, with a 2750mm wheelbase.
We don't have a press release yet but the 2014 Envision is said to ride on a newly developed platform with power coming from a stop/start-equipped 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine rated at 260 bhp (194 kW) and 335 Nm (247 lb-ft) of torque. A six-speed automatic gearbox sends power to the front wheels but an optional AWD will also be available.
Inside the familiar cabin it will boast an eight-inch touchscreen display part of the IntelliLink infotainment system, along with other systems such as hill assist, lane departure warning and automatic parking assistance.
