Ford has published another teaser image with the 2014 Falcon which will be the last version manufactured in Australia.

Ford Australia is putting the finishing touches on the last locally made Falcon before shutting down production facilities, a process programmed to end by October 2016. Last week they showed us a portion of the front fascia and now they are teasing us with the Falcon's rear end which will boast Jaguar XF-inspired taillights.

Keep in mind this isn't an all-new generation as it's merely an update of the current model (with Mondeo/Fusion influences) so expect to find the same engines, starting with a 4-cylinder 2.0-liter EcoBoost. There's also an inline-six 4.0-liter and a range-topping V8 5.0-liter supercharged motor. The eight-cylinder engine will also be installed in the resurrected XR8 that will serve as a replacement for the high-performance Falcons developed by FPV. These engines will work with a 6-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic which will send power exclusively to the rear wheels.

Ford Australia has announced the 2014 Falcon is set to go on sale in November so a full reveal should arrive in a few weeks.
