It's been over a year since we last spotted a Ford Galaxy mule but it appears the model is back on track as our spies have snapped new pictures of a prototype wearing a production body.

Dressed in heavily camouflage, the Galaxy will adopt a modern design which brings it closer in line with newer models such as the Focus and Mondeo. The styling details are hard to make out but we can see a prominent trapezoidal grille that is flanked by sweptback headlight. Moving further back, there's a rakish windscreen, large side windows and a gently sloping roofline.

Ford hasn't had much to say about the Galaxy lately but it will likely ride on the company's C/D platform and offer a variety of familiar diesel and EcoBoost engines.
