Ford has announced the production of the 2015 Mustang will start on Monday, July 14, 2014.
Mustang6G reports the Blue Oval has revealed this information through its Ford Dealer Bulletin. Thanks to it, we finally have a word on when the convertible version of the muscle car will jump on the assembly line too. This will happen on September 15.
In the beginning of this year it was believed the production of the Mustang will kick off on August 11 with deliveries starting before the end of the year. Now the site says the OKTB (OK to BUY) dates are September 9 for the fastback and October 27 for the convertible, which is much sooner than expected.
In Europe, the new Mustang became a hit with first 500 models reserved in just 30 seconds. More than 9,300 customers registered for a chance to reserve one of the first examples during UEFA Champions League Final on May 24.
