Jaguar’s new Special Vehicle Operations division is already working on new special edition models.

Harry Metcalfe, SVO executive, told Autocar during the Le Mans Classic event last weekend that “projects 8, 9 and 10 are underway”. These new vehicles will likely be built in very strictly-limited numbers, just like the F-Type Project 7 with its 250 examples available globally.

There’s still nothing much to report about these new projects, but the magazine says models from both Jaguar and Land Rover can’t be ruled out, because SVO is operating with both of them.

Two days ago it was reported a lighter version of the F-Type Project 7 is also under development and could be powered by a smaller and lighter engine, similar to the 4-cylinder 1.6-liter turbocharged and supercharged unit from C-X75.
