Mrs Hackett from Huddersfield, you know, the town where Rodney grew up, has traded in her late husband's 1935 Lanchester, once the world's most expensive car, for a Daihatsu Sirion 1.0 SE. Now call me stingy, but really… a classic Lanchester against a 1.0 Daihatsu? Seems to me like the Daihatsu dealer in question has made one heck of a deal. Especially since they also managed to bargain Mrs Hackett's 1999 Rover 400 into the deal aswell. Fair enough, the Lanchester did need a new battery, some new sparking plugs, cleaning of the carburator and some fuel (duh) and the car was back up and running after sitting in a garage for 11 years. Lets just assume that Mrs Hackkett gets her servicing done for free.
