Land Rover has released a new promotional video of the Range Rover Sport SVR prototype at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

Set to go into production in 2015, the SVR is being billed as the "fastest and most powerful" Range Rover ever created. It will be built by the company's Special Operations division and feature an aggressive body kit as well as an undisclosed engine that produces 550 PS (405 kW).

While Land Rover is staying tight-lipped, the model is expected to use a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 that develops 550 PS (405 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque. Since this is 40 PS (29 kW) and 55 Nm (40 lb-ft) more than the Range Rover Sport Supercharged, we can expect the SVR to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than 5.0 seconds.
