If you had any doubts that Ferrari would eventually offer a 458 Spider Speciale, you can put your fears to rest as a new report is indicating the car is indeed in the works.

Details are limited but two sources told 4WheelsNews the car is coming and one of them stated some dealers are already taking orders.

Like the coupe, the 458 Spider Speciale will likely feature an aerodynamic body kit that includes a new front bumper, revised side skirts and an aggressive rear diffuser. We can also expect Brembo brakes, a Side Slip Angle Control system and 20-inch forged wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires. Most importantly, the model should boast an upgraded 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 605 PS (445 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 35 PS (25 kW).
