Daimler's Board of Management is set to approve the construction of two Mercedes models in Mexico.

Details are limited but Germany's Manager Magazin is reporting the next-generation CLA and a new "A-class sedan variant" will be built at Nissan's plant in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Little is known about latter model but it could be a traditionally styled sedan instead of a four-door coupe like the CLA.

An Infiniti variant has also been rumored to be built at the plant - which is another explanation for the mysterious A-class sedan variant - but we shouldn't expect to see the models anytime soon as production isn't scheduled to begin until 2018.
