Jaguar and Land Rover have announced the creation of a Special Operations division to meet the "increasing expectations of today’s most discerning and enthusiastic car customers."
The new division will specialize in creating ultra luxury and high performance models as well as limited edition collector cars and halo vehicles. The Special Operations team will also service and restore classic Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles.
The Special Operations division will be based out of a new technical center and employee a team of 150 Jaguar Land Rover specialists. The center will also have a customer commissioning suite, a fully automated paint facility and Formula 1-inspired workshops.
There will also be a new heritage vehicle workshop, in Coventry, that will service and restore classic vehicles as well as build the recently announced lightweight E-Type.
