An Audi R18 e-tron quattro has been involved in a crash during a practice session at Le Mans.

Details are limited but Loic Duval's R18 went off the track at a "very high speed at the Porsche Curves at Marshals Post No.131." Duval was alert following the crash and was taken to the hospital for further examination. Thankfully his "condition is encouraging" and he is reportedly conscious and talking.

While Duval appears to be relatively ok, the crash brings back memories of the tragic death of Allan Simonsen who lost control at Tertre Rouge and crashed into the barricades last year.
