Chinese spy photographers have managed to capture a couple of images with the Citroën C-XR production version.

Back in April at the Beijing Motor Show we saw Citroën's C-XR concept and now an initial batch of spy photos depicting the production model has emerged. It will be manufactured in China by the Citroën & Dongfeng Motor Group joint venture and it is believed to ride on the same platform as the Peugeot 2008 although some say it will utilize the DS 6WR's architecture.

It will be slightly longer and wider than the 2008 but shorter and narrower than the DS 6WR while power is expected to come from a 1.6-liter engine offered with 163 bhp & 240 Nm and 200 bhp & 275 Nm.

The model will allegedly be unveiled in December at the Guangzhou Auto Show and will go on sale shortly thereafter.
