Carlsson has introduced their new tuning program for the facelifted Mercedes E-Class.
Looking tastefully restrained, the model can be equipped with a new front spoiler, revised side skirts and a rear bumper with an "RS style" diffuser. The company also offers a rear spoiler, a variety of wheels and a sport exhaust system that creates a "sonorous" sound.
If that's not sporty enough, the car can be equipped with lowering springs that reduce the ride height by 30mm. The company also offers an adjustable coil-over suspension which lowers the front by 15- 35mm and the rear by 20mm. Likewise, vehicles with the Airmatic suspension can be outfitted with a C-Tronic Air-4 module that reduces the ride height by approximately 30mm.
To spruce up the cabin, Carlsson offers premium leather and Alcantara upholstery as well as wood, carbon fiber or aluminum trim. Customers can also order illuminated sill plates, alloy pedals and special floor mats.
Under the hood, the CK40 performance package enables the E400 to produce 385 PS (283 kW) and 550 Nm (405 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 38 PS (28 kW) and 70 Nm (51 lb-ft).
E500 owners, on the other hand, can order the CK50 performance package which adds a sports air filter and an optimized ECU. Thanks to these modifications, the twin-turbo V8 engine develops 523 PS (385 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 115 PS (84 kW) and 130 Nm (95 lb-ft) of torque.
The diesel engines aren't left out either as Carlsson can tune the E200 CGI to 220 PS (165 kW), the E250 CGI to 239 PS (176 kW) and the E350 CDI Bluetec to 310 PS (228 kW).
