Six Volkswagen apprentices from Zwickau, Germany brought their Golf Variant Youngster 5000 to the 2014 Wörthersee meet.

Besides the Golf GTI Wolfsburg Edition, GTI Roadster and Amarok Power, Volkswagen is also showcasing these days at Wörthersee the Golf Variant Youngster 5000 which marks the debut of this body style at the event. The show car represents the work of six apprentices from Zwickau who painted the wagon with an Arancio argos pearl hue.

The "Youngster 5000" name is a reference to the one-off's iPad-controlled 5,000-watt sound system installed in the skids at the back. Other features include a Bilstein suspension controlled via an iPhone, along with bumpers, side sills and seats sourced from Volkswagen's R offerings.

Motivation is provided by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine taken from the Golf VII GTI but tweaked to develop 320 PS (235 kW), packing 90 PS (66 kW) more than in the Golf GTI Performance version.
