A WCF reader has sent us an e-mail in which he talks about his Porsche 911 GT3 order.

By now you probably have heard about the 991 GT3 delays as a result of an imperative engine replacement following a couple of fiery incidents in Europe. Porsche already announced all affected owners will receive an additional year of warranty while some of them will also receive some money for the disarrangement.

Now, a WCF reader has sent us an e-mail detailing what's going on with his 911 GT3. Pre-ordered back in January, Porsche has delayed delivery until September and asked him if he wants the money back but he decided to wait for the car.

A friend of his was supposed to take delivery of the car a few months ago at the Dubai port but Porsche decided to postpone delivery to replace the engine, without shipping the car back to Germany. In the meantime, he has been receiving 2,000 USD per month and should get the car in July, although initally Porsche said they would give him the car at the end of May.

Production of the 911 GT3 will be restarted in September because until then Porsche will be busy fixing the existing units by replacing the engine.

Special thanks go to Ahmed for sending us the e-mail.
