Ford’s CEO Alan Mulally declared during an interview to Autocar the Lincoln brand won't be introduced in Europe.
Lincoln's expansion plans do not include penetrating the European market as Ford boss Alan Mulally says they will concentrate on the United States and China where the brand was introduced last month. At the Beijing Motor Show they showcased the MKX, the first ever concept to be unveiled outside U.S. borders, ahead of a production version scheduled to occur within the next two years.
There's also the 2015 MKC slated to go on sale this summer and will hit Chinese market along with the MKZ as well as a bigger sedan tailored to Chinese customers. Mulally also said they will not take Lincoln further upmarket since they believe people are interested in "affordable luxury and technology" and they consider Ford through its Lincoln division can offer just that.
