The Mercedes-Benz ML Coupe (aka MLC) has been spied for the first time testing in AMG guise.

Since Mercedes-Benz's primary reason to develop the ML Coupe / MLC was to rival the BMW X6, it's no wonder our spies have caught on camera an AMG version to tackle its M competitor. It will receive the typical AMG treatment such as a more aggressive body with larger air vents combined with a quad exhaust setup, beefy alloy wheels, stiffer suspension setup and the rest of the usual ingredients from Affalterbach.

Taking into account the model will ride on the same platform as the M-Class, underneath the hood should be the same twin-turbo V8 5.5-liter used by the ML 63 AMG developing 525 PS (386 kW) and a maximum torque of 699 Nm (516 lb-ft). With the optional Performance Package, the ML 63 AMG Coupe (name not confirmed) will churn 558 PS (410 kW) and 758 Nm (560 lb-ft).

The regular ML Coupe will reportedly be out in the third quarter of next year so the AMG version will likely be introduced in the first half of 2016.
