Jaguar has released a new teaser image of the 2015 XE, ahead of its debut later this year.

Dressed in a bizarre body in white camouflage, the image reveals the entry-level sedan will follow in the footsteps of the XF and adopt a stylish front fascia with a rectangular grille that is flanked slender headlights. We can also see large rearview mirrors, a dramatic roofline and protruding wheel arches.

Jaguar didn't have much to say about the car but it will ride on the new iQ[Al] platform and feature a variety of Ingenium four-cylinder engines that will be available in a "wide range of capacities and outputs." The model will also be offered with a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 that will likely produce 340 bhp (253 kW) or 380 bhp (283 kW).

The Jaguar XE is expected to be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show and be launched in mid-2015.
