Nissan has announced plans to unveil its all-new C-segment offering on May 20, before the model goes on sale this fall.
It turns out Nissan has selected the Pulsar moniker in Europe for its Volkswagen Golf-rivaling C-segment offering which will be available as a five-door hatchback. Official details about the car are scarce at the moment but we do know the Euro-spec Pulsar was developed at Nissan's Technical Center in Bedfordshire, UK while production will take place in Barcelona, Spain.
Nissan previously said that in terms of engines they will compete with the seventh-gen Golf "from BlueMotion to GTI" but at a lower price tag. It is believed the European Pulsar will be offered with a full-length panoramic sunroof, a self-parking system as well as a satellite navigation system.
In terms of design, expect some influences from the 2012 Invitation concept with a front fascia clearly echoing the Qashqai and X-Trail with the V-shaped corporate grille and familiar headlights with boomerang-shaped LED daytime running lights.
The 2014 Nissan Pulsar (Euro-spec) is programmed to go on sale this fall, following its online reveal set for Tuesday.
