Several Range Rovers were the victims of thieves who stole the LED headlights in order to grow cannabis.

This is far from being an isolated problem as these criminal gangs have made numerous thefts and most of the cars were Range Rovers because experienced thieves can remove a headlight in just a minute. These headlights are later on sold to drug dealers who use them to grow illegal plants such as cannabis.

They probably use the LED daytime running lights of the stock headlights to grow the drugs but they also steal aftermarket full LED headlights fitted onto various Range Rovers. It's quite a big issue for authorities as in some areas police has initiated operations to advise owners of cars equipped with LED headlights how to protect the vehicles from thieves.
