A prototype of the Fiat 500X was caught on camera once again prior to a possible October introduction at the Paris Motor Show.

Just like in previous iterations the prototype was wearing an extensive fully body camouflage but despite the heavy disguise we already know how the mini crossover will look like since almost two years ago Fiat presented the vehicle during a 500L media launch event. Some changes might have occurred since then but most of the design will likely be carried over onto the production version.

It will essentially be a high-riding version of the 500 model which nowadays seems to be the core of Fiat's lineup and reports are suggesting that almost all models will wear the "500" moniker. The petite crossover will likely borrow the Renegade's engine lineup so expect a variety of Tigershark and MultiJet II four-cylinder engines.

Europeans will get the car starting this fall after Fiat will kick off production at its Melfi plant in Italy, while Fiat USA will start selling the model at the beginning of 2015.

Chances are an official unveiling will occur in October at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
