Ford has announced plans to put the first 500 European-spec Mustangs up for order during the UEFA Champions League Final on May 24th.

Available as a coupe in Race Red or a convertible in Magnetic Silver, the cars can be equipped with either a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that produces more than 309 PS (227 kW) and 407 Nm (300 lb-ft) of torque or a 5.0-liter V8 with more than 426 PS (313 kW) and 529 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque.

The models can also be equipped with black leather upholstery, heated / ventilated front seats, GPS navigation and 19-inch alloy wheels.

According to Roelant de Waard, Ford of Europe vice president of Marketing, Sales & Service, “The arrival of the new Ford Mustang in Europe is an event that deserves the biggest possible stage. We hope that making the first models available to order at the exact moment the Final kicks off will ensure a reach which matches the significance.”
