WCF sponsors junior karting driver – seeks crowdfunding for international competition [video]

WorldCarFans.com is happy to announce the sponsorship of an aspiring junior kart driver.

Born in the USA but raised in Finland, Aleksi Potter is a national multi-champion whos dream is to reach international level racing for 2015. Aleksi (12) seeks the support of sponsors and crowdfunding donors to help him realize his potential in the near future and beyond.

Acting in a supporting role, WorldCarFans.com will manage Aleksi's promotional and media campaigns in an effort to help this promising young driver reach his goal of competing in the Kart Formula Junior (KF Junior) category. With Europe as the epicenter of international karting, Aleksi's preliminary 2015 competition calendar includes 12 races from the two major race series by the CIK-FIA (Winter Cup, European and World Championships) and WSK (Champions Cup, Super Master Series and Final Cup).

Representing the best drivers in the world aged 13 to 15 years, the KF Junior class uses a watercooled 125cc 2-stroke engine that produces 20-23hp (15-17 kW). KF Junior engines are rev-limited to 14,000 rpm and include an electric starter and centrifugal clutch.

Over the past few years Aleksi has consistently achieved top results, but in the world of motorsports, talent is only half of the equation. The best chances for international success are through partners/teams who can provide equipment, logistics and coaching, but most importantly - experience. This other side of the equation is where the costs surpass the reach of most families and therefore is only possible with the support of corporate sponsors and donations.

WorldCarFans.com will help promote Aleksi's story to a global audience with the hopes of inspiring like-minded individuals, who also believe that a lack of wealth cannot stop one from reaching their dreams, to help fund Aleksi's way to competition. WorldCarFans.com is also offering global advertising opportunities to potential corporate sponsors.

Please help Aleksi beat the odds by conquering this financial obstacle and allow him to compete with the best driver's in the world.

Contributions can be made via sports crowdfunding platform RallyMe.com. There you will find Aleksi's profile page with more details about his funding goals and race results. WorldCarFans.com is offering a limited number of swag items in return.

Aleksi Potter was born in New Jersey, USA in 2002 and moved to Finland when he was 2 years old. It was here that he first jumped into a kart at the age of 5 and at the ages of 7 and 8 he raced in the cadet class at the club level and then nationally in the Mini class at age 9. During these past few years, Aleksi has established himself as a top junior driver in a country known for producing world champions and its rich motorsports heritage. Aleksi carries dual citizenship from Finland and the USA and also speaks English and Finnish fluently as his mother tongues. It should be emphasized that Aleksi's family has no prior experience in racing or karting - a testament to Aleksi's natural talent.
