The BMW M5 30th anniversary edition has leaked to the web ahead of its debut later this year.

Looking instantly recognizable, the 30th anniversary edition will be distinguished by a Frozen Dark Silver Metallic exterior with dark chrome accents and 20-inch alloy wheels with a jet black finish.

Interior changes are also limited but will include Merino leather and Alcantara seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel and dark aluminum trim. The model will also have 30th anniversary badging on the seats and dashboard.

Besides the styling tweaks, the car will be equipped with the Competition package that includes a sportier suspension, a revised M Dynamic mode and black chrome tailpipes.

Under the hood, the twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 engine has been massaged to develop 600 PS (441 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 40 PS (29 kW) and 20 Nm (14 lb-ft). It will reportedly be connected to a seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission that should enable the sedan to rocket from 0-100 km/h in less than 4.4 seconds.

The M5 30th anniversary edition will be shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and speculation suggests it could be unveiled at the M Festival next month.
