It was last year when Suzuki introduced the rather attractive Authentics concept at Auto Shanghai and now the production version was spotted but with a considerably toned down and less exciting design. It will receive the Alivio moniker and it's scheduled to go on sale in the last quarter of the year after its expected late August debut at the Chengdu Auto Show.

In charge of production will be the Changan-Suzuki joint venture and the vehicle will use the same platform as the Suzuki S-Cross. Power will come from a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine with 120 bhp (89 kW) and a newly developed 1.4-liter rated at approximately 100 bhp (74 kW).

Depending on selected trim and equipment, the Suzuki Alivio will cost between 90,000 and 140,000 yuan (about 14,300 and 22,300 USD).
