The Mercedes-Benz S-Class will soon receive a more premium Maybach variant but student Scott Wu Kaiser from California's Art Center College of Design believes the German marque should develop a higher-end model to sit on top of the S-Class. Created for the year 2021, the U-Class has received its name from the German word "üppig" which stands for "lavish", "luxuriant" and “sumptuous."

Scott sees the U-Class being slightly longer than the S-Class LWB and powered by a V12 6.0-liter twin-turbo engine sending output to the rear wheels. He imagined the U-Class as a competitor for Rolls-Royce and Bentley but with a lower starting price of around 150,000 USD.
