SEAT is celebrating the Ibiza's 30th anniversary by taking a look back at its predecessors.

Originally unveiled at the 1984 Paris Motor Show, the first-generation Ibiza was jointly developed by Karmann, Italdesign and Porsche. It was offered as a three- and five-door hatchback and was an instant hit that proved popular in a variety of markets including Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and the United Kingdom. In total, 1,308,461 units of the first-generation were sold despite carrying of price of approximately 825,000 pesetas would equate to roughly €15,620 ($21,625) today.

To celebrate the occasion, Seat will offer an Ibiza 30th Anniversary Edition in June. It will feature a grey exterior with black alloy wheels and "Ibiza 30 years" badging.
