Mercedes has unveiled the S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe at the New York Auto Show.

Looking elegant and aggressive, the high-performance model has a sporty front fascia with a single bar grille, massive air intakes and gloss black accents. The coupe has also been equipped with a front splitter, a rear diffuser and a four-tailpipe exhaust system. Speaking of the latter, it has automatic flaps which change the temper of the exhaust based on which drive mode - "C" (Controlled Efficiency), "S" (Sport) and "M" (Manual) - is selected.

The upscale styling continues in the cabin as the S63 AMG 4MATIC Coupe comes nicely equipped with Nappa leather sport seats and a three-spoke AMG sport steering wheel with aluminum paddle shifters. Other highlights include a digital instrument cluster, a widescreen infotainment system and wood or carbon fiber trim.

A twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 engine resides under the hood and produces 577 bhp (430 kW) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a seven-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission which enables the coupe to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.9 seconds before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 186 mph (299 km/h).

Speaking of performance, the model has an AIRMATIC air suspension, adaptive dampers, a larger anti-roll bar and a stiffer subframe carrier on the rear axle. There's also a rear-biased AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive and optional carbon ceramic brakes.
