BMW has officially unveiled the M4 Convertible at the New York Auto Show.
Heavily influenced by the M4 Coupe, the M4 Convertible has an aggressive exterior and a power retractable hard top which can be lowered in 20 seconds while traveling at speeds up to 11 mph (18 km/h).
The sporty styling continues in the cabin as the model has been equipped with sport seats, a leather-wrapped sport steeling wheel and contrast stitching. There's also an M gearshift and M-branded sill plates.
Motivation comes from a 3.0-liter TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder engine that develops 425 bhp (317 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds with the seven-speed M Double Clutch Transmission and 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds with the standard six-speed manual. Regardless of which transmission is selected, the M4 Convertible has an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250 km).
The convertible will go on sale in the United States this summer and pricing starts at $73,425.
