Following yesterday's leak, Mercedes-Benz has released two preview photos of the upcoming AMG GT set to be fully revealed this fall.

The SLS AMG will soon be phased out and although it won't receive a direct successor, a new model will try to fill the void. It will be the second sportscar developed independently by Mercedes-AMG and interestingly it won't have "Benz" in its designation as the model's full name is "Mercedes-AMG GT."

Only two photos have been published and both of them show the interior cabin which will have a two-tone red and black theme on the leather-wrapped seats, dashboard and center console. There's also a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel with aluminum inserts, along with a carbon fiber trim and an Alcantara roofliner.

AMG hasn't said anything about what powers the model but as previously reported the vehicle will have a twin-turbo V8 4.0-liter developing somewhere in the region of 520 bhp (387 kW). There are also rumors about a lower-spec 480 bhp (358 kW) derivative and a range-topping Black Series generating as much as 580 bhp (432 kW).

Since Mercedes and AMG have confirmed a fall reveal, we expect the AMG GT to be unveiled at the beginning of October at Paris Motor Show so a full gallery should be available by September.
