Our spies have already caught the Land Rover Freelander successor on multiple occasions but a new report is indicating the model will be called the Discovery Sport.

Set to be announced tomorrow, the model is expected to be unveiled later this year before being launched in 2015.

Little else is known about the crossover but previous spy photos have shown it will borrow cues from the Evoque, Range Rover Sport and Discovery Vision concept. It is expected to ride on an extended version of the LR-MS platform and could use aluminum and / or composite body panels to reduce weight.

Engine options remain unconfirmed but could include a new range of Ingenium four-cylinder units that promise to offer improved fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions.
