Mercedes-Benz has announced a series of revisions for the 2015 model year SL lineup which is programmed to go on sale next week.

The SL 350 will be axed in order to make room for the SL 400 kicking off at 97,282.50 EUR in Germany. In return clients will be getting a V6 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine developing 333 HP (245 kW) and 480 Nm (354 lb-ft) of torque taken from the E 400.

Mercedes-Benz has decided to eliminate the optional Performance Package for the SL 63 AMG but in return they added a standard limited-slip differential and bumped output of the V8 5.5-liter twin-turbo Euro 6-compliant engine to 585 HP (430 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) sent to the wheels through the familiar 7G Tronic Plus.

Optional goodies on the SL 63 AMG include a 3,123 EUR AMG Driver's Package, an AMG carbon engine cover for 1,796 EUR and red brake calipers priced at 714 EUR. For an additional 481 EUR clients can order an AMG performance steering wheel wrapped around in black Nappa leather and Alcantara.
