Citroën will be showcasing at Beijing Motor Show later this month the DS 5LS R concept packing 300 bhp.
Following the introducing of the regular DS 5LS in China, Citroën is previewing a more powerful version with an R concept which features a 4-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged engine developing 300 bhp (224 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The vehicle sits 15mm lower and has received wider front tracks together with a sequential gearbox featuring steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
In addition, Citroën's engineers have also worked on the car's suspension, brakes and chassis to handle the additional power while on the outside they have fitted numerous carbon fiber bits and pieces. The DS 5LS R concept wears a Carmine Red exterior paint finish and sits on carbon-colored 20-inch alloy wheels.
For the interior the French have prepared full leather and Alcantara upholstery, performance seats, real carbon fiber inserts and Carmine Red inserts on the air vents while the dashboard, seats, central armrest and upper door panels have received pearl top-stitching in Carmine Red.
The Citroën DS 5LS R concept will be exhibited between April 20 and 29 at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show in China.
